    KITA held UAE Industrial Zone Investment & Market Entry Strategy Seminar

     

    - Challengeable to target the Middle East market through the Abu Dhabi Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) -


     

    The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman, Kim Young-joo) held UAE Abu Dhabi Khalifa Industrial Zone Investment & Market Entry Strategy Seminar in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) at the Trade Tower in Samseong-dong on June 11th.  

     

     

    The seminar introduced Abu Dhabi Khalifa Industrial District, Abu Dhabi, exemplary companies that have entered into Khalifa Industrial Zone and Abu Dhabis support policies.  

     

    Khalid Almarzooqi, commercial director of Khalifa Industrial District said in his speech, The Khalifa Industrial District provides the best infrastructure for business revitalization, including investment support and cluster operation." He stressed, It will be a new opportunity for Korean companies that want to make inroads into the Middle East.

    Ahmed Hilal Al-Baloushi, director of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, said, "Through social media (SNS), the popularity of Korean consumer goods such as cosmetics is increasing in Abu Dhabi." He also advised, "In addition to cosmetics, it would be effective to enter into the Middle East market by promoting major K-Wave products such as processed food, fashion and accessories through major online distribution channels.

     

    Chu Min-seok, head of the Middle East and Africa Division of the Korea International Trade Association, said, "Many of the countries in the Middle East are making great efforts to achieve industrial development in order to escape from excessive dependence on natural resources such as energy. He added, We look forward to seeing Korean companies more actively advance into the Middle East region using Khalifa Industrial District in Abu Dhabi as a hub."
