                  KITA Held 1:1 Online Meet-up with Russia’s Yandex

    -    Yandex, Russia’s largest search engine, carried out video conference with 6 startups in AI speaker, game, etc.  -

     

    The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Kim Young-ju) held “Online 1:1 Meet-up between Yandex, Russia’s Largest IT Company, and Korean Startups” at COEX in Samseong-dong, on July 10th.

     

    As the largest search engine on the internet in Russia, YANDEX not only provides the internet-related services but also other various services such as Taxi application and map. During the event, the Russian company discussed cooperation with 6 Korean startups in the areas of AI speaker as well as online game via video conference.   

     

    CEO Kim Jae-ho of Dexint Games, a online game development company, said, “I had been considering entering into Russia as the game industry in Russia is rapidly growing and I participated in this event,” and added, “ It was very useful as I was able to build network with Russia’s largest IT company and understand local trends in the game industry.”

     

    Andrei, a manager at  AI speaker development division of Yandex, said, "Yandex is interested in collaboration with not only large Korean companies, but also startups with technologies," and added, "Since many promising startups participated in the event and we will continue to discuss cooperation with these companies."

     

    Cho Bit-na, head of Eurasia Branch of the Korea International Trade Association, stated, We have successfully carried out meet-up with Yandex this time, following last year's meet-up with Sibur, Russia's largest petrochemicals company, and also mentioned, We will continue to create cooperation opportunities with large Russian companies that are interested in Korean startups with technologies.
