    China to Hold 'China International Import Fair' a Key Business of One Belt One Road

     

    -     KITA is recruiting companies to participate in the China International Import Fair

    The Korea International Trade Association (in the 'China International Import Fair', which will be held as a key business of One Belt One Road at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai, China from November 5 to 10 this year. Hosting China International Exposition Expo was mentioned by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing in May, 2017. The event reflects the willingness of the Chinese consumer market to open up to the world.

     

    According to the Chinese government and the secretariat of the fair, many companies from around the world, including the world 's top 500 companies in more than 100 countries and regions are currently are expressing their willingness to participate in the event, and about 150,000 buyers from China as well as third countries are expected to attend the fair. The fair will have a total floor area of 240,000 square meters including six commodity trade pavilions (180,000 square meters), a service trade pavilion (30,000 square meters), a country pavilion (30,000 square meters).

     

    The fair is expected to become a representative trade fair for China in the future as it is a key business operated at a national level in China. "As the Korea-China relations are improving upon the Korea-China summit, it will help Korean companies to expand their businesses in China," said Kim Geuk-soo, executive managing director of the International Affairs Group of the Korea International Trade Association.
