    KITA to Participate in 2018 MWCA with Korean Pavilion

    -      24 small but strong companies and start-ups… expect to enter into the US market with their innovative products and technologies -

     

    The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman, Kim Young-joo) will send 16 competitive IT companies to the 

    ‘ Mobile World Congress Americas 2018 (MWCA)’, which will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the United States for three days from December 12 (local time) and will run special promotional booth for 8 promising start-ups in cooperation with KOTRA.

     

    The Korea International Trade Association is organizing the Korea Pavilion with 20 booths and introduces a variety of products with ideas and technologies such as mobile computers, virtual reality (VR) solutions, voltage control battery packs, wearable smart watches and healthcare devices. In addition, a special promotional booth will be set up in the Korean Pavilion to showcase the innovative products of eight promising start-ups, including a portable body composition measuring device, a smart scale, and a fingerprint recognition sensor for smart cards.

     

    The MWCA is one of the world's top three IT exhibitions along with the US Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the Berlin’s Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) as well as the largest mobile and wireless technology exhibition in the world. Some 1,100 companies, including global IT companies such as Samsung, LG, AT & T, Ericsson, Motorola and Qualcomm and mobile telecommunications, mobile equipment, solutions and contents providers will participate in the event.

     

    Cho Sang-hyun, head of the start-up global center at KITA said, “In order to make inroads into the US market, where wireless communication technologies and IT technologies are innovatively developing, it is necessary to understand the latest technology trends and create network with leading buyers.” He also added, “The Korea International Trade Association will further strengthen its overseas sales support business by continuously discovering the small and medium-sized companies and start-ups with competitive technologies and connect them with the buyers.”
