The Global Trade Internship,
which launched in 2000, is a representative international internship program
for college students and has produced more than 2000 graduates so far. Each
year, the program recruits 50 interns in the first and second half of the year.
The selected interns are dispatched to overseas branch offices of Korean
companies in 13 countries, including the United States, China, Vietnam, and
Germany, and have the opportunity to have hands-on experiences in the trade
field for six months.
Prior to this, the Trade
Academy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the three universities of
Korea University, Ewha Womans University, and Kyung Hee University in May to expand
and strengthen industry-academy cooperation.
Park Chul-yong, head of the
Global Training Center at the Trade Academy, said “The Global Trade Internship allows
Korean young people to build global competency by working at the overseas trade
filed for six months. I hope a number of students with challenging spirit who
want to work overseas will apply for the program.”
