The
Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo) announced
that it signed a MOU with LG Electronics (CEO: Joo-wan Cho) on April 19th at
the Start-up Branch in COEX, Samseong-dong to initiate start-up incubation
programs for emerging industry sectors.
The
MOU was signed by Seung-kwan Sin, the Executive Vice President of KITA and
Ik-hwan Jang, the Deputy CEO of LG Electronics, who doubles the role of the
Head of the Business Solutions (BS) Division. In line with the MOU, the two
sides will cooperate to discover and support promising start-ups engaged in
emerging business sectors and provide financial support for their proof-of-concept
(PoC) presentations.
The
two sides decided to work on their initial collaborative project by opening
“Biznovator 2022” - an Open Innovation event aimed at discovering promising
start-ups in the robotics, digital signage solution, digital healthcare &
medical device and virtual solution sectors.
