On
Friday, May 19, at the Samsung-dong Trade Tower, the Korea International Trade
Association (KITA, Chairman Christopher Koo) held the “First Korea-Singapore Digital Economy Dialogue”. This event was held as
part of the “MOU on the Korea-Singapore
Digital Economy Dialogue”
that was established at the signing ceremony of the “Korea-Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement” of the two governments
in November of last year.
At
this day’s event, Deputy Minister
Jeong Dae-jin of Korea’s
Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy; Deputy Minister Jane Lim of Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and
Industry; and officials from Singapore’s
Embassy in Korea and Economic Development Board attended. The Korea International
Trade Association’s
Managing Director Kim Ko Hyun, as well as 25 companies in 1) digital solutions,
2) digital platforms, and 3) digital services attended, such as Naver Cloud,
Hyundai Motors, and Kakao Pay.
