Business Luncheon with H.E Philip Goldberg, the new U.S. Ambassador to Korea

Korea International Trade Association (KITA) hosted a Business Luncheon with H.E Philip Goldberg at the InterContinental Seoul COEX, Samseong-dong on August 8, 2022. Christopher Koo, Chairman of KITA expressed hope that as this year marks the 10th anniversary of KORUS Free Trade Agreement, Korea-US alliance will be further strengthened in economic, security and technology spheres.

The Luncheon was attended by major Korean companies investing in or doing business in the U.S such as Hyundai Motor Company, SeAh Steel, CJ ENM, OCI, EXICON, Dongwon Enterprise, Meta Biomed, Jusung Engineering, YG-1 and Iljin Group.

On August 12, KITA held Investment Opportunities in Karnataka at the Trade Tower, Samseong-dong, Seoul. Karnataka is widely recognized as the Silicon Valley of India for its role as the nation's leading IT exporter with highly skilled human resources. As a top recipient of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), the state has developed a diverse and vibrant industrial base with a focus on IT, R&D, biotechnology, engineering and aerospace & defence. The event provided a valuable opportunity to assist Korean companies in entering Indian market and strengthen economic ties between Korea and India.
