On August 28, Korea International Trade Association (KITA) held a "KITA-Japan Association of Corporate Executives Networking Dinner" at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
This event was attended by major Korean companies such as SeAH Steel Corporation, YG-1, Exicon, Hyosung Chemical, INFAC, CJ and others as well as prominent figures including former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea Yu Myung-hwan and former Korea Ambassador to Japan Shin Kak Soo.
Founded in 1946, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives is one of the three largest economic organizations in the Kansai region with about 850 business leaders from 600 companies. Since 2000, it has sent business delegations to Korea annually to promote private sector exchanges between Korea and Japan. This year, led by Sugino Toshiyuki, President of Sanki Holdings Co., Ltd., a delegation of 26 business leaders visited Korea.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of Korea-Japan cooperation on economic security given complex and intricate global situation. They agreed to further strengthen cooperation between Korea and Japan to foster regional peace and prosperity. |
