KITA (Chairman: Jin Sik Yoon) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) co-hosted Korea - India Business Forum 2025 on Thursday, 30 October at the Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel in Gurugram, India.
This year's Korea - India Business Forum is the eighth forum to be held ever since it first kicked off in 2017. The Forum aims to seek avenues for bilateral cooperation in strengthening partnership, investment & trade relations. Approximately 200 representatives from the government officials, relevant institutions and the private sector attended. The Forum was broken down into two sessions: a) cooperation in cutting-edge technologies and human resources exchanges and b) cooperation in the green energy sector.
During the Forum, KITA Senior Executive Director Seok-min Jang highlighted India as one of the fastest growing economies and stressed, "Expanding bilateral cooperation in the cutting-edge technology, startup and energy sectors will lead to discovering new growth engines". He also added, "KITA will newly establish Korea - India Exchanges Committee to support companies of both countries to benefit more from tangible results of business cooperation".
