KITA Senior Executive Director Seok Min Jang attended SelectUSA 2026 Investment Summit - the largest inbound investment attraction event in the United States - on Monday, 4 May (local time), which was held in Maryland. He took this opportunity to convey the voices of Korean businesses to U.S. government officials and gain new information on state-specific investment environment.

During SelectUSA, he had multiple meetings with state government officials from states with heavy presence of Korean companies, including Arizona, Georgia and Tennessee, and had discussions on each state's investment environment. He stressed the importance of maintaining transparent and consistent investment attraction policies, such as offering incentives, which will require close attention from state governments.

Mr Jang also had a meeting with Deputy Under Secretary Diane Farrel from the International Trade Administration (ITA) and shared voices of Korean businesses. He highlighted changing U.S. tariff and trade policies become hurdles when Korean businesses plan to invest in the U.S. and kindly requested predictability of trade policies to help Korean businesses to engage in designing long-term business plans.
